My 74-year-old husband fractured his femur and needed rehabilitation in a skilled nursing center after surgery. We chose The Terraces. What a life-changing experience When I think of the Terraces, three phrases come to mind: “work ethic”, "here for YOU”, and “peace of mind”. From the seamless efforts of the admissions director, to the highly skilled physical and occupational therapist, the host of responsive, energetic, CNAs, the smart, the well-trained nurses, the dedicated nursing supervisors the tireless housekeeping ladies, the dining room staff – the social services director, the administrator, the receptionists - these people come to work, they do their jobs, they respectfully hear you when you speak, and they are – every day – your biggest cheerleader. My husband went from being hoisted off the bed for bedmaking to walking two hundred feet from his room, to getting into our car to come home to a home health care system effortlessly put together prior to discharge by The Terraces. If you have a loved one in need of rehab after surgery, and you want peace of mind for yourself from day one - the kindness and professionalism of the people of The Terraces is unequalled in our community.

This place rates with a 5 star Hotel everything is kept brand new. I have spent 2 week in there rehab center for a broken hip. This is like living in a hotel. The food is great, you select 3 fresh cooked meals a day. The doctors are top of the line, the care for your every need. Nursing and care staff are there every minute you need them 24-7. The therapist with there hands on care are understanding, caring, and attend to your every need. They want you to get better!!! And help in every way to make it happen. The cleaning staff keep this place Immaculate. “No Hospital Smell” The front office staff has made all the paperwork and transition to home a perfect and smooth experience. They make sure your insurance, after care doctors, home care nurses are all taken care of before you even leave everything processed correctly the first time. I would recommend this place to anyone for long term living or Rehabilitation care. What a great place to be when you really need help!

This place is the biggest mess you''ve ever seen. The only good part about this job was being around the residents. They cannot keep employees let alone management. They also Sweep everything under the rug rather than deal with the problems when they happen. Very toxic work environment. After I quit, I called corporate more than four times and finally I had to threaten them with a lawsuit for mistreatment and emotional stress for somebody to call me back. I don''t recommend putting your loved one in this place let alone work here.

READ BEFORE COMMITTING TO THIS ORGANIZATION: We have just been through an awful process with The Terraces. We have been trying to transfer my parents within Human Good from one facility to the Terraces. We were doing so because my brother suddenly and unexpectedly passed away and we needed to get my parents close to me so I could take care of them. We chose to stay within Human Good because my parents paid an obscene amount of money to get what they were told was guaranteed access to a benevolence fund should they run out of money. We''ve since learned that benevolence is not guaranteed and that my parents were grossly taken advantage of. To still try to have some hope of maintaining access to benevolence we chose to stay in the Human Good system (of note, my parents have plenty of money but wanted to make sure that their huge non-refundable investment would still make benevolence available). Never and nowhere were we informed that benevolence was not transferrable across campuses. The sales person we worked with, Gina Baerg, was dishonest to us every step of the way. She gave false hope and made statements throughout the process that were completely inaccurate. We on the other hand were 100% forthright and accurate. Yet, Gina ended up going back on her word. In addition to the benevolence issue we needed to make sure that my dad could receive his insulin shots in the facility. I can''t even imaging that an Assisted Living facility would not have this capability. I was completely accurate in describing my father''s needs and Gina expressed that they would be able to figure it out. Yet, today, after I wasted a day going there and visiting the facilities, and after I got my parents'' hopes up, I get a call saying my parents don''t qualify because the Terraces doesn''t have anyone to give my dad his insulin shots in Assisted Living. What???? Makes no sense at all. Is it even legal to not be able to administer insulin in an Assisted Living facility at night? The Terraces apparently has no nurse on staff at night in Assisted Living. This is very concerning. My guess this is more of a financial grab. At any rate, the worst part of all of this is that Gina gave us hope every step of the way, saying things like, "we''ll find a way to make it work" when in the end they did not. My folks lost their son this year and for the first time I saw joy in them because they would be close to us and their grandchild. Now I have to break their hearts again. Shame on this organization and shame on Gina in particular for being dishonest. I fully expect Gina to respond with a new wave of lies just as she has done in the last two days. Even yesterday she kept completely changing her story. Don''t give your hard earned cash for promises this organization makes but does not follow through on. It should be illegal.

My mother was in the skilled nursing facility at The Terraces for over a month. Her care was more than adequate considering her age and her needs. I did have an issue with the facilities administrative staff but once my frustration reached the proper personnel I think The Terraces went above and beyond in resolving my issues. They continue to assist with administrative issues even though my mother has been out of their facility for weeks. We all know something is going to wrong in a high stress situation and for me it is how a company resolves the issue once it is brought to their attention. Would not hesitate to utilize The Terraces again.
