Look for someplace with better executive management. The staff does the best they can with limited resources. The front of the building looks nice but the back of the building looks like a slum. A lot of the times they have good staff but they quit because they don't get paid well.

Holiday The Springs of Escondido is mainly an independent living community. If you want a nice room, this is a great place for you. You get three meals a day and get your room cleaned once a week. I still drive, fortunately, but you don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to. If you need some help, the facility could provide that for you, too. We have activities all the time like socials, people that come over and entertain, and games to play. There's a little outdoor area where you can get out to with tables and where you could have barbecues and things like that. There's no pool, but there's a little pond. There are just some difficulties right now and sometimes the food is not as good as it should be, but other than that it's a nice place and I think the staff is great here.
