The Sheridan at Birmingham is a wonderful place. I can''t say enough about the staff and the management team. They really do care about their residence and they were extremely helpful to me in terms of navigating the transition from assisted living to memory care to hospice. The building is beautiful. It is well maintained and the housekeeping staff is outstanding. The food is fantastic as well. I loved having lunch or dinner with my mother at the community. My mother was well cared for and happy while she lived at the Sheridan. I highly recommend this to others.

I was hired as a LPN last year this time, due to my father falling Ill I had to turn the position down at the time, I have since then seen the position posted on indeed I have resubmitted my resume and went in to see if I could meet with Mr. Huston the person who hired me previously, I was greeted by a lady name heather that was very rude to me, she told me they don’t meet with walk-in candidate’s I then explained I had previously interviewed and was hired but was unable to take the job due to my father falling Ill being on hospice and passing away, I informed her I tried calling as well as resubmitting my resume. Heather then proceeded to tell me well maybe Mr. Huston didn’t want to interview you again because You didn’t take the job the first time. As great as the building seemed I thought it would be unprofessional of myself to take a position in the middle of a family crisis further more if that is the case the reason Mr Huston is not responding to my emails or accepting my resume there is a way better and more professional way to say that besides the way heather said it. When dealing with people we never know what they are going threw so a little empathy and professionalism goes a long way especially when the same position has been open for a year heather.
