Was so clean when we first moved in. It has gone down and the carpets and walls are so bad. Carpets in dining hall are black with food and spills.

My mother moved to The Retreat at Jasper memory care. My overall experience has been that they've been very receptive. They've been very nice, anything that I didn't think fit my mom, they were able to accommodate. Everybody seems to be very professional, and things get done quickly. My mom's not eating but they're making exceptions. I told them what she liked, and they made her a baked potato, which she loves, and she only had three bites. I was right there trying to help her, and they're being very patient. The staff is polite, they seemed very nice to my mom and the other residents there. Her room is very nice. It didn't come furnished, but they had some leftover stuff that people left behind, they let me look and pick things out like if I needed a bureau or something. All in all, it's been a very easy experience for a very difficult decision I had to make. At this point, it's well worth what we're paying. For memory care, it appears to be more limited activities. My mom likes to go for naps after she eats, but they don't allow it all the time, she needs to mingle. She used to sleep a lot more at home, but they are getting her up and they don't allow her to sleep all the time. They came and picked my mother up at my house, and brought her to the facility.

You are not going to get enough services for your money at this community we were promised more than what we actually got. The meals were the same thing over and over and my loved one did not eat most of the days. He either just had family bring him meals or eat snacks because of the meals. They had activities like bingo but my loved one did not participate in the activities at this community.

The community is always very clean and the staff members have all very so friendly. From our understanding it seems like our loved one really enjoys the meals, and it really is a good value for the cost.

I visited a friend at The Retreat at Jasper. The place was wonderful, and it was very nice. The staff were very attentive, open, and very friendly. There was absolutely nothing wrong with them. The facility almost looks a like a mountain oasis. It was inviting, and it was comforting. Since the place is up on the mountain, the décor looks just like a mountain lodge; it was almost like a resort type of thing. The place was very clean. Everything else looked very good, and they have different wings for different tiers. The lady who lives there doesn't have anything bad to say about the food, and she has cute snacks in her room. The dining room looks really cool.
