When I had previously worked at Avila Senior Living I was constantly running around and doing the best I could so that the residents would be satisfied and most importantly, not have been on the floor for longer than a minute. Unfortunately, this company only cares about profit. They have zero regard for assistance that the residents need even though they charge the residents and/or family members for it. There are some amazing individuals on the care staff and in the kitchen, but as I had gone by to visit a resident that had asked me to keep in touch I had a member on the care staff decide to confront me in a very unappreciated manner. Unfortunately when I had worked with this person before they quit I thought they would have changed as they weren''t so kind to the residents. Given this was the kind greeting I had gotten I truly hope she has learned to at the very least treat the residents in a nicer manner. Overall I hope that whomever is considering having their parents here they look at every other option first. I have always only wanted the best for people. Maybe by the time you are considering bringing your parents here they will have changed. I do hope that is the case soon.

I’m a Cal Poly student who took a tour here for a research project on senior living, and I was immediately impressed by the kindness of the employees, the light, warm, and home-y environment, the cleanliness, the variety of activities offered, and the overall atmosphere of care in what is clearly an intimate community of folks. Thank you to Allison for a wonderful and informative tour!
