Such a nice facility. I enjoyed my stay here. I love the social worker Destiny. She has been great. The girls that work the floor have been great! Thank you for getting me stronger.

Aside from the CNA''s who do most of the work, Legacy has become a one-star operation. During my Dad''s 4 month stay, they caused skin tears, a concussion while pulling him up into the bed (they hit his head on the headboard and he lost consciousness), and the final episode was the doctor transportation van. My Dad was in a wheelchair and placed into the van without a seatbelt. The driver went to other side of the van, and my Dad fell out of the wheelchair backwards. He suffered skin damage and abrasions to the back of his neck, arms, and a cut on his toe. Since then, the cut was not cared for correctly by their wound nurse. Dad has had a leg amputation and Legacy put my Dad on a "do not admit" list. I know this is due to the fact that I am a caring family member and watch every nurse in contact, and I visited daily. One instance, he had a nurse working during the night. She would make my Dad wait over an hour and a half to use the bathroom. He cannot hold it and had to go in the adult diaper they demand each patient to wear. He was humiliated. I read the reviews and went against my better judgement. I am ashamed and hurt I ever allowed my Dad to stay at Legacy. Please, please do not let your loved ones stay here. The director listens with 2 others present only, writes notes and rebels. They know there is a lawsuit coming, I''m sure. However, I want my Dad in good care first before dealing with the lawsuit.

Seen first hand. Severely understaffed - I''ve heard they fake names on the chart when state comes in. They will even through staff onto the day state comes in but every other day there''s less than the state minimum on shift. Dietary is awful - thank god they got rid of the cook who burned or undercooked food (still frozen) but relay terrible working shifts (dietary severely understaffed) Known for being late for picking up residents from WARMC. Some staff will let residents eat food from breakfast/lunch when it''s clearly dinner time. Everyone in town knows not to go here or work here because the management doesn''t care about its employees. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Thinking about River Gardens? Think again. They''re the same company and swap staff back and forth. Grandfather was left in his bed for nearly two weeks without anyone moving him because he cried of pain. What did they do for him? Nothing! When we finally came to visit him (my mom was working) to get him ready for PT, he couldn''t stand. It was unheard of of because my grandfather walked just fine. Found out he had cried in pain every time they moved him. Had him checked by a doctor. They popped his hip out of place while helping him back in bed and didn''t bother to get ANYONE to check why he was in pain. Took him to the hospital for surgery since the hip had been out so long but by the time they did surgery, he had been in so much pain the past two weeks that he passed away.? Shame on you all for being so uncaring to your residents! Even still today! SHORT: Any hardworking staff never stay. Why? They can''t stand to see the residents mistreated while management turns their nose away. If you don''t want your heart broken, take your family somewhere safer. PLEASE!

If you have a loved on keep them far away from the Legacy Rehab & Care Center. My family and I discussed with a caseworker prior to bringing my mother-in-law to this facility all they talked about to us was positive. They never said they were under Covid restrictions that you were going to have to wear a full-blown K 95 filter mask goggles And fill out a book like a new patient at a doctors office for every visit. The lady at the front very rude we asked for this packet for up coming visit so it doesn''t take us so long to get in. The rude receptionist said the lady that gave it to us wasn’t supposed to and I am going to have a talk with her. She’s just miserable and takes it out on the guests coming in and coworkers obviously. My family and I have talked to the head lady in the side office There’s no sign that says employees only so I went back there to Look for that lady because of their miserable receptionist and they are yelling at me. We went back there prior because It took them over an hour and 40 minutes to answer call lights for patients and when somebody asked to go to the bathroom at 80 years old they cannot wait for an hour and 40 minutes. The male nurse at night time would not even tell her what prescriptions he was giving her when she asked he just said that your nighttime pills just take them. The Service for the patients and guests is just not there. All we want is to get her up and walking again to get her home. If I can do it over again I would’ve never sent her there if you love your loved one avoid this facility.
