Our family had an in person tour with The Landings at Norcross and we thought it was a great tour experience but at the time they were full and had no availability.

I believe the Medical Care Deficiency is Serious. That seems to be the TREND of The Landings at Norcross which smacks of Warehousing. Many Seniors don't have a Close Family Advocate. The Landings of Norcross- Memory Care. Positive Experiences are General Cleanliness & Safety with Overall Nourishing Menu. Rooms are Comfortable. The Downside: Staff is CONTRACTED...Every Week there is a New Staff leaving NO CONTINUITY of CARE! THE EXCUSE IS "I'M NEW AND I DID NOT FIND ANY NOTES"! SEVERAL TIMES, STAFF LET [name removed] MEDS RUN OUT WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW. ( WE had an Agreement upon Move-In that I would order his Meds from VAMC ATLANTA & DELIVER TO THEM.) I AM SO HAPPY I DID! DURING THESE TIMES, I HAD TO RUN DOWN TO VA MEDICAL CENTER PHARMACY, PICK UP REFILLS & RUSH THEM TO NORCROSS. IF I WAS NOT TOTALLY ENGAGED IN HIS CARE, I SHUDDER TO THINK OF THE POSSIBLE OUTCOME.ONCE HE WAS OUT OF Propranolol For 4 DAYS! AFTER A YEAR WITH NO Improvement, IT WAS TIME TO MOVE. WE WILL BE SEARCHING IN THE FRANKLIN/ BRYSON CITY, NC AREA FOR A BETTER SOLUTION. OUR EXPERIENCE WAS WITH MEMORY CARE SECTION ONLY. FACILITY NON- MEDICAL STAFF & Facility Mgt WAS VERY NICE & Always Helpful. In Memory Care, Leonard was supposed to get 2 Supervised BATHS WEEKLY & Daily Hygiene Coaching, such as BRUSHING TEETH. NON- EXISTENT! We would NOT Re-admit There!

The Landings at Norcross was horrible. It was not a pleasant experience. It was the holiday weekend. Nobody had time. The facility was very old and I felt like the memory care people were locked away over in a corner. It was just a small place. They had security on the door, but they let one of the residents scoot over in her wheelchair and opened the door. I didn't like that. You walk right into a common area and they were all watching TV and it was loud. They looked like they were just stuck in front of the TV with no explanation for why. No interaction between any of the staff. The person that did the tour had an attitude. He was some guy that was ready to go, and I was an inconvenience to him. It does not matter that it's a weekend and it should not matter if it's a holiday or Christmas day. We need to find care for our family. We have an urgent need. You all should not treat me like I was an inconvenience.
