I felt like I was at a hotel, but you have people that are around and taking care of you. It was a huge acreage. They have a calendar of all their activities that are in-house. I had spoken to Ivy at Hawaii Kai before I arrived and told them that I had two concerns. When I got there, I repeated the two major concerns I had, but neither was addressed when they were touring me around. When I reminded them of it, they acted surprised. So, they did not address what I had specifically told them that needed to be addressed. They were very proud of the fact that they try to run it like a hotel and it was exactly like a hotel in New York, where there are a thousand people around you, but none of them want to meet you. They won't make eye contact. The facility was beautifully done and beautifully maintained. I think it was recently renovated, but the feeling I had was just not warm and snuggly. We stood on a balcony overlooking the dining room floor, and nobody was laughing. Nobody was talking to their neighbor. Nobody was leaning across to talk to another table. These things are just for me, personally, because a friend of mine who went with me at the same time actually loved the place. She has moved in, and I think she'll thrive there. Her personality fits right in, but for me, it just didn't fit my needs.
