My experience so far with Mom at the Grande has been a good one. Starting with Vinnie, who showed mom and I around. He was very pleasant and professional he answered all our questions satisfactorily. Vinnie continued to communicate when needed for several days before the big move in date. The nursing staff, Jami and Alyssa, welcomed us with a visit to Moms room the day she moved in. Jami was great at explaining how the medications would be distributed by the Med Techs, and informed us of meal times and laundry days. She also explained the system using the call button that each resident is given as soon as they move in. Mom has been there for almost a week now, the transition is going well, the aids are all kind and attentive to mom''s needs. Kelly, the activity director, came and introduced herself to mom, and discussed all the wonderful activities they had to offer daily! Kelly''s enthusiasm was great in getting Mom involved, she even came to get her for her first activity, as mom is not much for getting motivated to do things on her own. This just may be mom''s forever home❣

The tour I had with The Grande went very well. I liked how they had the dinner service with a server. They ask you what you want to drink, they ask you what you want to eat, and they serve you like you're at a restaurant. The rooms were nice because even when you share a room, there's a half wall in between you. So there is privacy even if you're sharing a room. They have an activity room and another area out the hall where people can watch TV if they want to go out of that room. They have a lot of activities on their calendar. They seemed very adaptive to the person's individual needs. They also have private rooms. They've been very helpful with the paperwork.
