I like The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair because they have spacious accommodations for the residents. Their apartments are bigger, so that's nice. It looks like their food is really good. The atmosphere and the way they're decorated is very fundamentally different when you think about a quintessential nursing home. The person who guided me was Christopher, and he was great. They showed me a menu for the week. It's a very diverse menu. People from outside of the facility can eat there, and they have to pay of course like a restaurant. I think they take a lot of pride in their food. All of the common areas are very nice. The apartments are a little older than the other places I looked at, but they're clean and well-kept.

I went to The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair. Cindy was super nice. She's been really on fire. She's very helpful. It's like family-owned and operated. I didn't like that my husband's room would be on the third floor; I think it's kind of far away. But overall, they have a nice patio area, people are out eating together, and they have lots of little spaces for people to sit and talk and such.
Read moreI had an in-person tour of The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair. Their front desk staff was not kind, and they were not pleasant people to deal with. The director, who gave us the tour, was phenomenal. They had a fridge in their rooms. They have a gazebo and activities.

My mother has moved into The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair. So far, it's been good. She's been there for about two weeks. Everything's been good so far. She gets three meals a day. They have like activities for them. But they help her get dressed and they take her down for meals and stuff. They make like cookies one day and they do bingo. They play different games, stuff like that. For activities, she hasn't participated in too many of those yet because she's only been there two weeks. The only thing right now is they have all those COVID protocols, so that's kind of a pain. Other than that, it's not so bad. She seems to like the food there, and she's met other people, so I say it's good. Their maintenance and cleanliness are very good. They pick our garbage up every day, wash our clothes, and clean our room.

My dad is just not ready to leave his home. They were wonderful, they kept following up, and they're patient. It's all positive. The rooms were a little small, but very nice and very clean. They explained the floor plans and they're very nice. They're very accommodating with my family's circumstance.
