Good morning, My name is Linda LaSand and my older Brother is John LaSand who resided at your Center for the past few years. It''s been hard on our Family as we watched his health decline. Especially for me, as I live in California. I was able to come out with 2 of my Grandsons to visit in the Summer of 2018. Your Staff was pleasantly accomodating, making our visits so much easier as we spent what I knew to be the last time I would see John face to face! It was excruciatingly painful when we headed home! John''s daughter, Lorraine told me about this wonderful nurse Christina Meehan who was willing to help us FaceTime with him. I was so excited to still be able to still SEE my Brother''s precious face! Christina has done this for the past couple of years with kindness and love in her heart. No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to help. During this time, we unexpectedly lost 2 of John''s Adult Children! We were really going through it! The day sadly approached when my dear sweet brother was transitioning. My niece called me from your facility while I was out shopping. When she shared the news with me, I began shaking and almost passed out. Lorraine told me that Christina was going to put me on the phone with John. I was alone in a store full of strangers, drenched in tears as Christina gently explained the process and what to expect. She was concerned because her shift was ending and she would be off the next day which meant she wouldn''t be there when he passed. After I spoke with my Brother, she spoke with me for a few minutes longer to help calm me before we hung up. He passed just a little while later. What can I say about my sweet dear Angel, Christina Meehan (Director of Activities)? The day you hired her was one I will ALWAYS be grateful for! She is in the right place for ALL the right reasons. I will never forget Your Staff and Christina for treating my Brother and our Family with Love, Respect and Compassion! THANK YOU! MAY GOD''S BLESSINGS FOLLOW YOU AND YOURS ALWAYS, Linda S. LaSand

From the outside, this facility looks a little tired, but inside, the staff is anything but. The staff is attentive, kind, considerate, and accommodating. They took very good care of my mother after a two week stay at the hospital with Covid and brought her back from being very sick, unable to eat, to sitting up, eating puréed food, and learning to be mobile again with her walker. Each time I visited, the staff was more than willing to run down and get food I requested, or come in to assist with whatever my mother needed to make her more comfortable. The weekends saw a reduction in staff, as most places are experiencing, and getting a hold of someone was a bit trying, but don’t let that influence you regarding choosing this facility for your loved one. Thank you to the entire staff for the selfless work you do each and every day.

Two years ago my uncle John Coraggio fell twice had to go the hospital. he needed rehab they gave a list of rehab places. Also I needed to put him into nursing. I saw the grand of pawling, I said to my self that the place because it was easy for me go visit him because I work at the grand. I know he would be taken care of. The place has alot great workers, the nurses, cnas, activities housekeepers, maintains the kitchen crew. The place was clean and the food was great. I made a great decision. The Grand of pawling is a great place to get better .I would not look any further than The grand of pawling.
