If only I had read these reviews before moving my dad into this facility. Biggest mistake. They are short staffed and it definitely shows! My dad was in the hospital for 2 weeks and it was determined he needed additional care, I went to clean out his apartment. It had not been touched by housekeeping. In the lease agreement it says that weekly housekeeping was included. But it was not. Trash was left by the door. Disgusting. I would NOT recommend this facility to my worst enemy.

We moved my mom to assisted living. She had fallen a couple of times and she needed care closer to her. The nurses are wonderful and care about the people on their floor. Our biggest problem is the lack of central A/C. They showed us an apartment and moved myom into the apartment knowing it didn''t have A/C. The lady who used to live there was moved by her daughter because of the problem. At 88 you should not be paying $6000 a month to live without A/C. Her apartment is 89 degrees. They put in a temporary unit that KY the one room too cold but the rest of the apartment is too hot. I bet the management wouldn''t live there or pay that price.

I have been employed by Harmony Senior Services for almost 3 months now. I have seen the attitudes and atmosphere change drastically in that time to the positive. There is a different energy in the building. An energy of family, caring, and dedication. The residents and staff, care about each other and are involved with improving many aspects through volunteering, committee, and being kind to one another. We really are family serving family. I am blessed to work here! I gave 4 stars because there is always room for improvement.

Initially when the resident was moved into the memory unit of this facility things were good. The resident was cared for as expected, but about 6 months ago I went to visit her and the odor of urine was so overwhelming I could not stand to be in her room. I contacted a few people, but never heard from them until I told my brother and they responded to him. It turned out that the resident was urinating in a cup and putting it in her hamper. This must have been going on for quite awhile so how is it that no one noticed and it got to where I had to say something??? My brother found feces in a bed sheet wrapped and dumped in the hamper. I knew I had to work on removing her from this place. My dad was paying good money for her to be well cared for, NOT to live in a sewer. It was bad enough that her room mate across the hall has incontinence issues that’s never dealt with, but for the resident to live in her own odor was reprehensible! There is always staffing issues so if we need to get a hold of someone most of the time our calls are not returned or we can never get a hold of anyone. This place looks nice on the outside, but particularly in memory care it’s not a good place for anyone that you care about. In reading the reviews, particularly about the finances, my dad decided to call his financial institution and stop payment in time so that he would not go through the nightmare as so many have. We have moved the resident out and transferred her over to a better and substantially nicer place. In addition, they kept losing her clothes and claiming that she was throwing them away. The place where she is now watches out for this problem and always checks the trash cans and takes out her clothes. When she left Harmony they sent her with half the amount of toiletries that I know I had purchased for her. When I questioned the person overlooking memory care she told me that the toiletries sent were what was in her room. Hmmmmm. . . So glad she is in a much better facility.

My auntie has been a resident at Harmony since February/March of 2023. I can truly say it is an experience of good and sometimes it seems not good. But through it all; I have been able to get intouch with who I need. The directors, staff, nurses, chef Louis, attendants, cleaning crew, concierge, etc; has and still are a joy to communicate with whenever my auntie or myself have a need.
