I've chosen The Commons at Dallas Ranch Assisted Living for my mother. It's for a respite stay of two weeks. It's not a permanent move-in. It's assisted living, but they also have dementia care. It was a very attractive facility, attractively furnished, and it had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It had a very positive atmosphere. They have exercises, arts and crafts activities, and music. They have a variety of activities. I didn't try the food, but they had an attractive dining area. It looked like a cafe with tables and chairs. It was very impressive. It has a wing of assisted living apartments and they have a wing for dementia care.

My family and loved one have had an average experience with the community. It would be nice to have better staff communication with the family. There are meals and activities to assist with the residents socialization.
I picked this community because, it was clean, and smelled better thna others. It was a freindly place, although the meals are not so great.

The people at The Commons at Dallas Ranch are so extremely caring, everybody there knows our loved one by name and whenever we come to visit they know us by name. They are always engaging and interacting with her and with us. They do a really nice job of encouraging our loved one to get involved in activities such as their knitting group. We would definitely recommend this community to families based on our experience so far.
