The Bridges at Edinburg was very nice and very clean. The first building of the facility was more for memory care, for Alzheimer's residents. Then the second dwelling was for assisted living (we went to the assisted living. I walked into their rec room and they were all there playing bingo. They had other areas for arts and crafts and so forth. The staff were very interactive with the residents. It was very small, very quaint, and very nice. It was older. The woman that toured with me was very helpful. She told me that she'd worked there for many years and she enjoyed working with the residents. She was very caring. She was very knowledgeable about everything she told me about how they gave them their meds. She was very detailed.

We went to The Bridges at Edinburg Memory Care. It was clean. The lady was super nice, and the food looked good. Some were eating snacks and things, and we just saw that. They looked happy. The rooms were very small. They were clean, but you couldn't have a queen bed, it was twin or full, and I don't think my husband would be happy there for that reason, because he's six three. He has to have the extra room. They had a little garden where they could go out. They kept it clean. The people were super friendly. They had a lot of activities for them, but it was just so cramped. The staff they had in during the day were two CNAs, which seemed very nice, they were doing well, but they were two small women. There were no men on staff, and I don't think at his size for all the time, it would be sufficient for him.

The Bridges at Edinburg Assisted Living Homes is a great facility. The reason why it didn't work for me is because it's not a lock-down facility, and there's a chance my husband could wander off. I'm impressed with the staff. It's a very nice facility with a very warm staff. I saw some people playing a board game, and the dining area was very nice. I saw a living room, and that's where they do music therapy. The rooms were very clean, very nice, and a good size.
