I am SO VERY impressed with Sunrise of Webster Groves. The entire staff is awesome. The environment is warm, welcoming & just plain happy. From the staff to the residents, you can see the pride they have in their facility. I have every confidence leaving my aging mother in their care. They offer many activities and my mother particularly enjoys the desserts with dinner. (She has her priorities, right?!?) When I first visited I noticed how open & bright the building is. Lots of room to visit or just relax outside of each residents individual apartment or studio. I also like the location. It just feels homey. But you also know the level of care & staffing is high. Everyone smiles. It''s truly a feel-good place to be. I believe most of the "good" is directly related to the new director, Vicky, who had been there for over a year. Lots of positive changes!

As a former employee of Sunrise I would not recommend anybody working or bringing their family member to live at Sunrise. The management sucks.Jennie Vicky Becky Tatyianna are the worst supervisors I’ve ever met in my years of working. you’re supposed to feel comfortable to go to management and tell them what’s going on and what problems are going on! You can’t do that. Either they are sitting in their office all day or they’re not in the building. They want you to call when something goes on, but they never answer their phones. They don’t care about your outside life when it comes to Sunrise you can have a family emergency and they still want you to come to work. You could be in the hospital completely sick and all they care about is a doctors note, not if you’re feeling well not if you need them, called them, nothing. If you get injured by a resident, if management doesn’t see a bruise, then nothing is wrong with you and you can go back to work normally. you’re not allowed to voice your opinion on certain situations because you’ll be called disrespectful. They won’t allow you to speak up for yourself because they think you’re being disrespectful. The pay is not enough to get mentally and physically abused by management and residents. management doesn’t care about your family. Because if your family gets injured, if there’s no blood, they will hold off from calling you to see for their to see if it’s a big enough issue to let you know. They are extremely understaffed. The employees are overworked and don’t get the appreciation they need to continue on with their daily lives. I understand that we signed up for this job, but we didn’t sign up to get abused and disrespected.
Read moreMy mother has been here now close to 4 months. I did an exhaustive and comprehensive search prior to placing her. The staff and facility are the gold standards, and I sleep well at night knowing that my 87 year old mother is on their care. My experience has been excellent, and I love the staff.
I would not recommend this home for anyone. The management here sucks and they do not care for the residents. They down play their employees. I’ve heard that the residents would not get help or changed until the next morning. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Our ongoing problems are the same everywhere.
