We liked Sunrise of Newtown Square. It was a nice facility. We saw both their standard care and their memory care. We liked that the facility was clean. It was very bright. There was a lot of natural light. It was a very recently built building. That was one of the reasons that it was recommended to us in the first place. The people were nice. The staff was friendly. Everyone that we passed greeted us. Everyone seemed kind. We only saw their showrooms, but the rooms themselves were pretty standard. They were clean and up-to-date. There were people out and about, and they were handing out freshly baked cookies in the lobby. To some degree, it's still going to be a hard situation where people aren't necessarily happy to be there, but it seemed like it was a healthy community aspect. We didn't try the food or see any, but we did walk through the dining area. It seemed clean, new, and bright. They had an activities calendar. They had a salon onsite. We were impressed. We saw them first, and then we saw a couple of other ones, and they set a bar that all the other ones weren't as nice as Sunrise was.

I've been communicating with him for the past week, and he has helped with the information. I went to the memory care and they were all very welcoming. They were doing some work, so I'm sure once the work is done, it would improve, but there was some construction going on.

Their initial presentation and tour was very positive. Then they asked all the right questions concerning my mother's needs and our family's concerns. We felt very confident that they had the experience and resources to do what we needed. Also we were under a tight deadline and they helped us accordingly.
Read moreSunrise of Newtown Square was along the lines of Rose Tree Place. It was bright, but not overwhelmingly an active community and pleasant staff for my loved one.
