Live with Purpose at Sunrise of Dublin
Sunrise of Dublin’s Live With Purpose program gives older adults plenty of ways to engage with life, meet friends and discover new passions. Residents here spend their days attending yoga classes, having ice cream socials, participating in special-interest clubs (Flower Club, Walking Club and more) and joining friends for Wine Before You Dine happy hours. When they’re not busy with the packed activities calendar, seniors enjoy getting coffees at the cafe, lounging on the porch’s plush furniture, strolling the beautiful walking paths and grabbing popcorn for movie nights in the on-site cinema. And, of course, no day would be complete without some one-on-one time with the community’s beloved rescue dog Winston.
Dublin also offers lots of opportunities to shop, dine and have fun. Residents use the calendar’s outings to see the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, find deals at the Polaris Shopping Center and catch the latest blockbusters at Cinemark Carriage Place Movies 12.
Sunrise of Dublin: Support for Your Independence
Sunrise of Dublin’s support team ensures that older adults have all the assistance they need to be independent. They are on-site 24/7 to answer the call for emergencies, give assistance with medications and lend a caring hand with activities of daily living (showering, grooming, dressing, continence and more). For more advanced medical needs, the community is just a short drive to several well-regarded medical centers, including Riverside Hospital, Dublin Methodist, Mt. Carmel East and West, The Ohio State University Hospital and Grant Hospital.
A separate neighborhood called Reminiscence is designed specifically for older adults with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. There, they benefit from Designated Care Managers who provide personalized attention, therapeutic activities, calm mealtimes and secure spaces for recreation.

This is a review based on our experience touring and speaking to staff. We immediately asked if a dog would be an issue and clarified based on the size and type and were told it would be okay. After two in person visits with multiple family members and a intake test we were advised the dog would not be allowed. We would have never visited or started any process knowing the dog would not be allowed. We are very aware of the issues with larger dogs that''s why we''re were very forward with the size and type. If you have a dog policy be honest about it and it''s specifics

The food they serve the people who live here is a tragedy. They do not put effort towards nutritious or even edible food beyond a dry piece of bread with a slice of lunch meat and a slice of cheese. Half the time they are served on paper plates with plastic utensils. The amount of money it costs to live here and the standard they outwardly appear to set does not match what you experience as a resident here. Foods matters, even to old people. Do better.

Retired home? Not sure
The caregiving staff and the nursing staff at Sunrise of Dublin love the residents, which makes their caregiving and efforts so excellent. They seem to be trained very well for new positions.
