My father was in Summit from June 2022-Jan 2023 when we finally pulled him out because the care and cleanliness was so awful. The decline in his health in that 6 month period was remarkable. When I met with the director and brought it to her attention she agreed and yet no one intervened! There were 2 instances of pushing the assistance button and no-one ever came. He ended up in and out of the hospital with infected sores because they did not maintain a regular bathing schedule. His room was never thoroughly cleaned. The majority of the care givers were not kind or caring and often on their phones just hanging out instead of checking on the residents. My brother has a relative still there and it has not changed. I would not recommend putting a loved one here.

The Executive Director and the Health Coordinator LPN have alot to be desired.Very unorganized there offices look like it should be on an episode of hoarders.Clearly no organization. The LPN didn''t place my Ppd correctly i was basically injected so deep it did not even bubble. When i told her she was defensive and said not all get a bubble. If placed correct it should always bubble. Its literally the first injection you learn how to do in Any medical/nursing or phlebotomy training/certification. I''ve been getting Ppds placed for over 20 yrs never once did it not bubble at first . Then i was told in 2 days send her a picture of my arm! again if you know about ppd testing its about feeling and measuring of any bubble on the day of results how is this done via a photo?Stay far away from this place . Chances are if someone did have a positive reaction nobody would ever know. I am stating about the ppd because I am nationally certified phlebotomist with a current license. Before applying do research on this place. Not a place i want to work and that is why i called hours later to say i will be not going forward with my employment.

My aunt has been in the facility for a couple of years. This is not an upscale retirement/assistant living facility. I’m speaking with Emily on Friday- to make her aware of several things that are going on. For what the monthly charge is per resident my aunt stayed in the same clothes for 2 days. Her bathroom is dirty and the toilet runs constantly. I have made the staff aware of this numerous times, and nothing seems to be fixed . Her bedroom is never swept and crumbs are everywhere from the snacks I provide her. I will be contacting the corporate office!!!

We went to Summit Place of Mooresville. It was excellent. The tour person was excellent. The place was clean. All the staff we met for good. I can't say anything bad about any of them. And equally, the people who lived there were friendly, too. A couple of them invited us to their rooms to check them out, so it was very nice. It's a good experience. I went with my sister so there were two of us there and we said the same thing. They had a nice activity room where they did crafts and things. They said they had activities like movie nights and things like that for the seniors. They had things like multiple trips and things. One thing that I like is that they provide transportation for doctor visits within 10 miles of the place, so that's a nice thing. They had a nice dining room area, and they were redoing the outdoor. They had a small garden and I think they were going to expand that. We like the place a lot. I was impressed with the place. The residents looked happy.

I looked at Summit Place of Mooresville. It appeared that the residents were out and moving about and appeared to be active. The meal menus looked appealing and appetizing. I was surprised that the private room I was looking at was a little bit bigger than I thought, and that made it more comfortable and configurable for my mother's stuff. However, the staff did not have a lot of financial information. Other than that, she was knowledgeable about the place, and she showed us around. They had a big living area and there was a nice big TV. They take the seniors out on trips, too. They have transportation to get them out and about. With regards to location, there are hospitals and major restaurants nearby.
