VERY POORLY MANAGED. They serve the residents there cold food ( a dog wouldn''t even eat) and most definitely do not take the care they should!! Bad all the way around. Will bee moving my mom elsewhere

I had to leave 1 star to write this review. Keep on looking if you are searching for a care facility! My contact with the business office was unbelievable!! They were rude, intimidating, bullyish and threatening in trying to get me to pay more money. They seem to only care about MONEY! The care my mother received this last time was lacking in every sense of the word. Her insurance changed therefore her care changed. My mother walked in and DID NOT walk out. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the staff and upper management! DO NOT expect different results by going straight to the top! BE WARNED! KEEP LOOKING!

The lack of empathy and excess of neglect at Summer Meadows is appalling. The morning vitals check is the only reference they use for the next 24 hours. We had to beg nurses to listen to our concerns. We were told that my loved one was “faking it” when she had a 103 fever. My loved one ended up in the ER twice while in their care, fell twice and was not helped for we do not know how long, and became depressed while there. My loved one was only there for post-surgical rehab, but the amount of neglect led to pneumonia and sepsis. We will never recommend this facility.

At first, things were great. We were showed around and were pretty impressed with the rehab department and the while place in general. We asked the woman who was showing us around if they had a diabetic/cardio diet and was told they did, which was very important to us due to our family member having diabetes and other health issues. After our loved one was admitted, we realized that there was NO such diet! With this being said, we were told that they made meals for all of the patients that were basically the same because there was no way they could prepare so many different meals. Our loved was sent to the E.R. on several occasions with an extremely high sugar level and/or with either a very high or very low blood pressure. Our family member ended up having to have a c-pap machine at night and although we were told that while they did not have any there, they had a business that was on call 24/7 and could come out and get things fixed up for us. After several days of waiting on the machine to be delivered, we happened to run into our family doctor and told them what was going on. By the end of the day, we had a machine but that also ended up being a problem because 2-3 days after the machine was delivered we were told that they had no idea how it worked or what to do. We (her family) figured it out and got it hooked up and running. A few days later, an ambulance had to be called because once again there were blood pressure issues and our family member was very incoherent. Once they were released from the hospital and brought back to Summer Meadows, we were told that our loved could not come back due to the c-pap machine and that we would have to find another immediately. (even though they had other patients with c-pap machines and I know this because the staff had to come borrow our distilled water for another patients machine!) So after I have made my complaint I strongly believe that our loved one would still be with us today if it weren''t for the resident doctor and the management of this place!

Just wanted to share. From the first communication with Tracie(Intake Coordinator) to current day... My experience has been wonderful. Tracie made things happen for my mom in an emergency, admission situation. I will eternally be grateful 🙏. It''s a very emotional and challenging situation taking care of a parent with special needs on a normal day. During the COVID-19 Pandemic... Challenging to say the least. Putting my trust in the staff of Summer Meadows.. From onset of admission I knew everything would be fine. The staff are kind, professional, courteous and have given me the moment to take a deep breath and not cry for a day. I just spoke on the phone with my mom. She is happy and has developed a friendship with a lady in the next room. Therapy is also in progress and mom says all is going well. The staff... Have been Amazing! I would recommend Summer Meadows to anyone looking for a place for a loved one... But.. Expect to make room in your heart ❤ for an entire new family..

This facility is poorly managed and communicates to staff poorly. I''ll spare you the details but due to one of their employees who has mental issues the police were called out. You need to be at a high level of desperation before putting your family member in Summer Meadows. There is one employee there however that is an Angel from Heaven. She knows all the stories and can give you good guidance, comfort and compassion that will help offset some of the threats to your family member and their guests. Go somewhere else though if you can.
