I''m not sure what is going on here, but since it opened the service and menu options have declined and the prices have skyrocketed. Since I wrote this I have had communication with the director, chef, and bistro manager. Two days after the meeting no dinner was delivered. The chef is rude and unprofessional. He won''t speak to my mom since the meeting. A few more times dinner hasn''t been delivered to my mom. This is inexcusable. She moved from a $7000 two bedroom to a one bedroom. For the prices paid I expect better meal options and services.

My in-laws live at Story Point at my recommendation. As a pastor, I get to several facilities in our community and have found that Story Point is among the best, especially for independent living. The grounds are beautiful, and the interior is quite "swank" in that it is clean, bright, uncluttered, stylish, and seems a bit like a luxury hotel. The staff are friendly, the residents affable, the activities meaningful and enjoyable, and the food is rather good too.

Read moreOur family loves StoryPoint because my Mom loves StoryPoint. Nice atmosphere and very well kept. A bit pricey, but the cost of care is high everywhere I guess. They do need to slow the exorbitant annual rate hikes.
High turnover of help. Decline in promised services. Food service often closed for breakfast and lunch! A Lack of oversight from corporate with little or no visits to Portage. After house little or no staff available -- example -- lady feel, broke leg, took 2 hours before removed to hospital
