The things that I believe stand out the most about StoryPoint is the interaction with staff, and the activities and amenities offered. Not only is there a hair salon, a bistro, and a family gathering/party room but there is a monthly calendar that careful planning has gone into for meaningful activities. There are planned excursions for both appointments, and fun activities -- the Conservatory and a chocolate factory/gift shop are two that come to mind. There are trips to the post office, local churches, Target, Penneys, as well as help to get to medical appts. Family is invited to many events -- we have taken part in special meals, grandparents day, the recognition of when our aunt read her testimony, and musical entertainment. Every holiday is acknowledged in some way, some of them in numerous ways. I think the facilities are beautiful and there are many spaces to socialize and relax. I cannot say enough good things about the caring staff and what a team they have built. In addition to an activity team, they arrange such things as flu shots, podiatrist, etc. It has kept our aunt active -- as an Ambassador, she has led bible study, and participates regularly in bingo, cards, puzzles, games and too many events to mention.

I cannot say enough good things about StoryPoint Gahanna. The facility looks like a 5 Star Resort. The staff including management are all friendly, competent and caring; treat my husband like their family member. Food is very good; the soups and homemade desserts are especially good. Activities are plentiful. Music, card games, in-house theater nights, special events like Grandparents Day, Cinco de Mayo celebration, pool parties, ice cream socials, and many more are over-the-top for residents and their families. My husband, who didn’t want to move to assisted living but who needed to, is very happy with his life here. Making friends , having fun, eating good food in beautiful surroundings . I’m happy too and enjoy visiting with him nearly daily.

My parents are fortunate enough to reside in one of the extremely nice cottages that Story Point offers. It really gives them the true feeling of independence. Everyone I have interacted with has been extremely kind and professional. I was really impressed with how much the staff made me and my parents feel welcome after they had just transitioned from over 2,500 miles away from a home they lived in for over 30 years. My parents love being able to dine and socialize with the other residents three meals a day :) The community offers alot of options for everyone, from rides to appointments, and weekly outings, whether it be for shopping, or entertainment. There are alot of things to do on site as well. There is a movie theater, and puzzles and books galore. The hair salon is a big hit with my folks. We really enjoy the family involved events that are held for various holidays and other reasons for gatherings and celebrations. I think what means the most to me, is to know that there is someone always available to help out with whatever need arises, no matter how big or small the issue is. I would strongly suggest Story Point to anyone looking for a great Senior Living Community!
Read moreFacilities are beautiful. My dad’s apartment is very nice. I like that they have a system to check up on everyone each morning. The food could be better, I will say. But the staff have been great to my dad, and I know he’s enjoying getting to know the other residents.
Staff is all very friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Services provided are wonderful.
