Be careful dealing with this place. We gave them a check to hold an apartment after being assured the check would be held until we had gone through the entire processed at which time we would know the exact cost, we would have agreed upon move in date, and would be able to inspect the apt to make sure it met our expectations. The check was cashed the same day it was written! No contract was ever signed. We didn''t even know if we met their approval standards! We decide this place did not meet our standards and asked them to refund our money. We are getting the run around. Be careful when dealing with this company!!

Sterling Court looked very nice and people seemed to be very caring. I'm a person who likes to wear sweatshirts and Levi's, and I sometimes feel that in places like that, I maybe would need to dress up a little bit more. I don't know that I would, but I felt that way. They took us everywhere. The units that I would prefer to live in were all full on one side. I felt like they had a little more privacy. The apartments were very good. It was very clean. They had a swimming pool and a large gymnasium with a lot of equipment. The staff were very kind and very easy to get along with. I enjoyed the tour.

They said when you go for a tour, you get a free lunch, but I didn't get one. The studio room looked decent and nice. I saw the dining room and it looked nice. The food smelled nice. I saw their van out there, so I think they provide transportation for the residents.

The staff was very knowledgeable and personable.

We have found a place, Sterling Court, and we're filling out the paperwork now, but nothing is finalized. At this time, we're quite excited about this facility and we would like to pursue it. I would be happy to give it a positive recommendation. They were very courteous and it's a great facility. Right now, we are starting at independent living, I know it might change, but that's our starting point. The staff I met were very good. We have chosen them because they seemed highly rated on both Caring.com and the other sites I looked at. We also don't have a lot of choices for assisted living in my area, and they seemed to fit the bill, and visiting with them, I agree further.

Compared to the newer places, Sterling Court is basic. They had very nice apartments to live in, but it's not continuing care. They cannot provide people with IV drips and stuff. It's got a crafts room and a very small exercise pool, but it's more a nice place to live and the food is pretty good. The staff was nice and really helpful and they get the student nurses from the university. The facility is nice for what it is, but it isn't as fancy as the others. It's not because it's not taken care of; it doesn't have all the amenities that other places have. They have one-bedroom and studios. There's only a couple of two bedrooms. It's for people that want a smaller apartment. The kitchen is small, but you can cook a real meal in it. They have a nice dining room.
