I toured St. Mark's Living for my sister. I thought the apartments were nice. They seemed to have enough space. The one we looked at had 2 bathrooms, and the woman living there was using one for storage. The bedroom was nice and big, and it had a decent-sized living room and a small kitchen, but it was a complete kitchen. What I didn't like about the place was that there weren't many activities for the residents to do. There were some but not that many. They had a dining room and a community room with a TV and tables. You could go out to the sidewalks and walk around the building, but there was no particular walking space. The staff there seemed very nice. If I wanted my sister to live there, I want them to have more activities.

We had experience with all 3 levels: Independent, Assisted and Nursing Comfort Care. As our loved one became more vulnerable and less able to care for herself, the care became almost non existent and the “staff” was often no where to be found instead of the other way around. If you choose this facility be prepared to visit unannounced, at all hours of the day and night. Our loved one died within 10 days of being placed in the Nursing Care Rehab program.
Read moreThe room looked the same the past 2 weeks like no one cleaned it so her son did. The staff just set her food there and never even tried to help her. Seriously?
This community is amazing! The staff are great with the residents.
