My mother moved in at Spring Gardens Mapleton last month. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The facility is clean and bright. The chef is willing to prepare dishes outside of the menu. It has a bright and friendly atmosphere. They repaint the rooms with each new guest. The apartment size is just average. They have a church you can go to, game nights, movies, road trips and events outside the facility. They also offer resident transportation. I wish they had more activities for the residents.

It's a nice, clean facility, and the location is convenient for me. I have not tried the food personally. I've sat with him while he's eaten several meals; it looks good. They have a lot of activities every day. They offer church services, they offer exercise, they have entertainment come in, they offer movies, they take them on outings, and they do arts and crafts, things like that. They have an outdoor patio.

Our first impression about Spring Gardens Mapleton was that it was nice and clean. We looked in on a couple of two-bedroom apartments that were coming available and they seemed nice, but they seemed rather tight and very small. Our king size bed would be a wall-to-wall bed in there, but the staff was friendly and involved with the people. You could tell the residents there seemed happy. I didn't see anyone that was struggling or having a hard time while we were there. We were disappointed on how much an extra occupant cost. I don't know how they arrived at that fee, but it was $100 a month more than the other facility we checked out, which seemed strange because that other facility seemed nicer. So, that was kind of a negative for us.

I visited Spring Gardens in Mapleton. It was excellent, but it's also a lot more expensive. I think they have both assisted and independent living, and it's all in the same building. The facility was beautiful; it just costs more than I can afford. The apartments were very nice, too. They have a good bathroom facility; I can move around in there with my wheelchair. They had better amenities than the other places I've seen. They had a mini-store in the building so you could buy some necessities -- not very much, but things you'd probably need. They had an open bar where you could get fruits or snacks, and it's part of the cost. You could buy some other things in there, too. The only problem with Mapleton is that you have to go about a half-mile to get to any kind of a grocery store, and that's a convenience store in a gas station. It's a little bit out of the way from other things. Other than that, the place is excellent. That's the only thing that was not good about it, that it wasn't close to anything. I think they had a bus, though, and it would probably be able to take you wherever you needed to go. The staff was very friendly and very good; they're excellent.

Spring Gardens Mapleton was a nice place. The big plus was we got to meet so many residents there. They were grouped in different areas talking to each other. When we went into the activity area, all the seniors were like, "Oh, you want to put your mother here, we would love that. This place is friendly and lovely." They all were super happy and really loved where they live, so I think that's a big plus. However, I think the saleslady was just trying to put us in between some things, and it really wasn't the right location for us. We were kind of rushed, but she was really polite. I could tell she was fitting us in between meetings and whatnot. The tour was not as relaxed. The place was newer than the other place and had been built seven years prior. It was done up in a much more modern style, and I could tell that the materials they used were not as nice. It was done nicely, and it's clean, tidy, and neat, but it just doesn't have any sense of style at all as far as the aesthetics of the actual building itself. I was impressed that the residents were so happy. They really loved being with each other, hanging out together, and talking. We got to be introduced to quite a few of the residents. It seemed like they really loved the activities there, so that was a plus. It's a good place.
