My brother moved into Holiday South Wind Heights. They're great. It's a clean building. Everything's easily accessible. They have plenty of recreational activities to involve the people that stay there. The food is good. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They will have people come in and perform. They do activities like bingo and cornhole. They did a cakewalk for Halloween. They try to find things that people can get involved with.

Holiday South Wind Heights was nice, neat, and clean. There are different types of people there. Some people are pretty much self-sufficient and are just there to have a safe place and they don't need any help. There are people there that need more care. I've known personally a couple of people who have lived there and they enjoyed it. It was expensive, but they liked it. One of my friends lived there for several years and she had already died. The other person that I know is still living there. They provide the three meals. You don't have to do your own cooking. He needs help with his medicine, and then all of his meals are provided. He even has a vehicle that he's able to drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave you directions on where to go. I didn't eat with my friend, but I saw what he was eating and it looked very nutritious. It didn't look like hospital food. It looked like real home-cooked food. I know that they have a physical therapy gym where they can do exercises. They play dominoes, cards, and puzzles. They even have a van that would take them if they wanted to go shopping. The van also takes them to doctors' appointments. The people that don't have cars can pretty much schedule any type of event that they want to go to that's local. It was way too expensive for me, but compared to other independent living places, it's a good price.
