The roots of our non-profit organization go back to 1856, when our founding organization was formed to meet the needs of aged women in the roxbury section of boston. Today, more than 150 years later, sophia snow place offers two senior living options on our campus. For those who seek an independent lifestyle without the cares of home ownership, we offer 66 spacious independent living apartments. For seniors who require assistance with some activities of daily living, we have 36 private supportive living suites. Sophia snow place offers unusual value in today S senior living environment. We are proud that in august 2016, the department of public health life safety inspector not only gave us a report of no deficiencies, but said we were one of the very nicest places he had ever been. Having my parent at SSP has been beyond my wildest dreams from where I was 7 months ago when she was at home. At home there were many unsafe things like cellar laundry, throw rugs, stairs to the bedroom. From a distance I had to managed meds and groceries and diet, I was in constant worry about the next situation that might arise and whether I had to drop everything to fix something for her or the house. At Sophia Snow Place she is well cared for, with meal choices, 3 meals a day and the pastry cart. Her laundry is done, her room is spotlessly clean and she has showering assistance. I find that everybody there goes over and above what I would expect from them, in a happy and caring manner. I cannot recommend it highly enough ! AND, not the least, she loves it there!

Sophia Snow Place is all inclusive, so Mom has assistance with anything she needs. She has meal choices, 3 times a day plus the pastry cart in the morning, help with showering and meds, does yoga and has wonderful caregivers, she loves them all. They are consistent and helpful and pleasant and she feels very secure. The facility itself is immaculately clean, her room is very large and comfortable. The people are organized and helpful, there is someone at the door who knows when people go in and out. They were referred to us by the nurses that do care there, and it was a great decision. There is nothing that she misses from home!

Mom was living at home in a very big old home, with stairs to her bedroom, to the cellar laundry, throw rugs,etc. I had to manage her groceries, meals, meds, and care from a distance, as well as take care of the home maintenance. I was in constant worry about the next situation that might arise and whether I had to drop everything to fix something for her or the house. Now at Sophia Snow Place she has so many people touching her life daily, with meals, meds, activities, she is clean and fed and warm.They always go the extra to make sure that all is well with her. She has socialization and things going on, and best of all, she is very happy with being where she is.
