We're on the waiting list at Solstice Senior Living at Fenton. We toured it and we liked it. The parking lot was good for visitors on Sunday. They had a big enough parking lot that when visitors come, they'll have a place to park. They weren't huge. It felt more personal and more welcoming. I liked their units. I liked the floors in the units and the vinyl plank flooring. The apartment was just light and breezy. And I liked most of all that if you got a ground floor unit with a patio, you could fence it in. So, that would be a wonderful little yard for our dog. The staff was very helpful. All their units were being remodeled. So, we looked at one that was remodeled and it had the vinyl plank flooring, and they had new counters and a new tall refrigerator. It just checked a lot of boxes, especially for our dog. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. So, it was great because my husband needed the second bedroom for the computer room. Two meals a day were included in the rent. The rent was reasonably high, if that makes any sense, compared to a lot of them. For our particular needs, it was perfect.

She likes to play bingo and when they were having the Saint Louis Cardinals on, she would go down and watch it in the big room. They have a walkway outside,too, and rocking chairs where you can stay and visit with your family. They have their own private rooms that come with a kitchenette and she is in the one-bedroom. They also have studios. The food is wonderful. They have a chef that cooks it. They provide transportation for her as well.

The building itself smelled wonderful when I walked in because they had just had lunch, and they gave me a tour. The staff was very personable, he answered all my questions and took the time to talk with me. He was not rushed or anything. He showed me a couple of different choices as far as rooms, which were very nice. The building itself seemed very clean and maintained, and any of the employees that I saw were very friendly as well. They were very nice rooms. They were clean and bright. Each room had a walkout exit, or if they were on the higher floors, they each had a balcony. So, that was very nice. I did not eat anything, but everything smelled good because they just had lunch. He gave me their monthly menu or weekly menu, and it looked very appetizing, the food that they served
