Our family had an in person tour and it is a nice community, but it was just to far away and we did not like the busy street it sat on. However the lady giving the tour was super.

We toured Tallahassee Memory Care. The room that they wanted to put our uncle in was about the size of a closet. It also needed a lot of help inside, like the structuring and the facade of the building. I would not recommend putting a deposit down there too because I am still waiting to get mine back. The facility was very worn down, dirty inside, and they actually are quite a bit more expensive than the brand-new place that was just built in 2019 that our uncle is in now. It's located on a backroad, off of one of the main roads in Tallahassee. It's on a really steep hill when you go up the driveway, and the hospital is off of the next interstate exit when you go out there.

We have not yet been inside the community due to COVID, but we really liked how friendly the staff was, they were very accommodating to us, and they seemed to really care about the residents there. We have been told that he was in a single room, and now he is in a shared room. When Florida came out with their new guidelines about facilities opening up we had heard horror stories about some other communities, but this facility really worked well with the families and ensured us that we could see them outside or inside. They were really wonderful.

We chose this community because of the price, location, and the size of the community. It is smaller and more individualized so we get better 1 on 1 care. The room sizes are very comfortable. My mom says some days the food is good and some days it is not. Our favorite part about Tallahassee Memory Care has been working with the staff and executive director. She is very responsive and helpful. If something does happen, they always call and let me know.
