My husband is in Silverado Beverly Place. I toured it and I saw that it was well-run, neat, clean, and well-lit, and there's a lot of staff. They knew what they were doing. They had a mission. They were there to serve the people. They're very good staff. I haven't eaten the food, even though we are told that as visitors, we can come and eat with the residents. There's a lot of activities. They have exercise, art, literature, dancing, movie nights, and discussion groups. They go out. Unfortunately, because they're in a city, they don't have enough outside space. They try as much as possible for every few rooms to have patios and walking areas. They have plenty of dogs, a few cats, and garden patios. The residents are allowed to have their dogs with them, so that's good. It's more expensive here because of all the hands-on that they do, but I'm getting my value for money.

I would say it's excellent, he has good days, bad days, they do a lot of music, they have a lot of activities to keep them busy, so they don't just sit in a wheelchair wasting away. The activities is what really keep him going. He's happy. The food is delicious. The facility is fabulous, it's gorgeous, very clean, and has no smell. I can't go inside, when Ido have visiting privileges, they have to be outside. You can only do 2 people of the family, and you have 30 minutes. He's behind plexiglass, they give you hand sanitizers, you put on gloves, and you definitely have a mask on and stay 6 feet from him. You cannot touch him, you cannot let him touch you, they're on it. They are expensive.
