Signal Mountain Senior Living was lovely. I loved it and I would give it top-notch ratings. The people were friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. They were helpful, and it seemed like the meals were good. The staff was excellent. They had a lobby with a pretty fireplace. I saw the actual rooms, and they were clean and they had a full kitchen. If you chose a studio, it had a balcony. Those were things I was impressed with. Most of all, it was clean and it smelled nice.

Looks good and nice facility, but managed poorly. They were bought out by another company and this didn't help, but seemed to make things worse. The staff overall are kind and nice. Some really care. But the administration overall are hard to get to communicate with you, they say they will call you back, but they rarely do. We had a problem with being overcharged the whole time of our stay with them. My family member was content with what services they received, but they didn't need much care, except just medications and housekeeping. I gave more than several months to resolve the over charges, but they couldn't resolve them, nor tell me what they were doing to fix these problems. Billing kept blaming central office, not solving the issue. I am not the type to leave a bad review but their lack of consistent communication billing problems was too bad to overlook. If you want somewhere you can trust to have them follow through with what they say they will do, then this place won't provide this for you. Look elsewhere.

RAs are, for the most part, are nice bit management is not. They could care less for the residents. There are no activities, nothing to keep the residents moving and happy. No Amenitites that I saw.

Overall the staff at Signal Mountain have been great. There are some grumpy employees, and we have had a few issues with cleaning that needed to be ironed out. Mom loves the activities. The food is terrible. I make meals for mom and deliver them to her to have when she just can eat the food that day. That said, there is always a hamburger or sandwich available. Unfortunately she's diabetic, so that's not always helpful.
Read moreI toured with Signal Mountain Senior Living and in one word it was simply nasty. It was the worst out of them all. It was dirty inside and out.
