I had a tour at Savannah Court of Lake Oconee and it went well. They were very helpful, informative, and took up a lot of time with me. It's pretty much the closest one to us. The person who showed me the memory care unit was very kind, informative, and very helpful. The rooms were OK. It had a very nice big bathroom and it's clean. The size of the room bothers me a little bit, but it was nice. They have a calendar of what activities they'll do every month. They have refreshments, crossword puzzles, front porch socials, exercises, and field trips.

My family member is no longer here at Savannah Court of Lake Oconee. Everything was improving as we were leaving with the addition of a new director.
The Director left. The Nurse left. They are always short on staff. All you ever hear is they must meet budget! The kitchen is filthy and the food is poor. They have turnover constantly. This is not a good facility and I recommend not putting your loved one in this place.

There was just a lot of activity going on. They weren't all hid away in their rooms. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and very dedicated to the facility. They were very thorough, very professional, and very personable. The facility was homey. The dining area was spacious enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility issues. Certain residents had few preferred seats, I was told. They had chairs removed for them to pull up to the spot they got there; it was cute.
