Mom got down to Savannah Court of Camilla on Saturday. She likes her room. It is a nice place. The residents are all nice. They made her feel welcomed. From what I've seen, the three meals a day look good to me. The price is not that bad. It is a little cheaper compared to some that I've seen, but overall, I think she's enjoying it. When you first go into her room, it's got a little sitting area in there with two chairs and a lamp. Then you go into the main part where she has her hospital bed and there's a bathroom to one side where she can get her wheelchair in. It's got a shower and if she needs assistance, there's a cord in there to pull. I carried her TV in there and she's got a cell phone. I carried a chest of drawers and they had a spacious closet. The rooms have their own thermostat for heat and cooling. So, it's just a nice room all around. They've got a place to get your hair fixed, a pool, and a few extra dining rooms where they have a family night once a month. They have courtyards where residents can come in or the family can come in and they have a little meal. Last night, they had one with a theme from the fifties, sixties, and seventies. They had hamburgers and hot dogs. What I've seen and what I've eaten were good. They've got bingo and a living room area where they come to watch TV and talk and whatever. It's kept up well, but it's just an older facility.

Commode was fifthly. Hard, stuck on BM on lid and on outside and inside. His wife [name removed] cleaned it up while we were there. We understand things get dirty but this was stuck on....like it has been there for days. Nurses were all very nice. Although on their cell phones a lot. Overall I thoug...

We understand things get dirty but this was stuck on....like it has been there for days. Nurses were all very nice. Although on their cell phones a lot. Overall I thought everyone was nice but could of been cleaner. While nurses were on their phones...they could has cleaned the commode. A snack and drink was brought in. His hands needed to be washed before he ate his snack. We did get him to wash his hands before he ate the snack. Thank you for your care while he has been there. We appreciate you all.
Read moreOur tour at Savannah Court of Camilla was fine. I have nothing negative to say. It was just was one of those things - it didn’t feel like the place my loved one needed to be. Everybody there was really nice. Our decision came down to location and proximity to family, as well as affordability.
I like Savannah Court of Camilla. They were the best. If I had moved Mom, that would've been the place where I would've put her. It was exceptional. It was great. The people were alive. The administrator was great. I have no complaints. The facility was nice and clean.
