Staff and the facility were very accommodating for my mom. One evening she was tired and didn't feel like going down for dinner .. so they brought it up to her apartment! Very accommodating getting her apartment ready for her before the move in as well. Everything we asked to have done was handled. They had various sizes of apartments. I don't recall the exact # of sizes/shapes but after looking at 4 or 5, we found 1 that fit my mom's needs. It came with a kitchenette and had a good amount of storage space. Also had help alarms though out the apartment.

Sanford Estates had been through a lot of trials but the staff that has remained has made it enjoyable to stick around. New management every few months. Food is average. Portions are either too small or too big. Some servers are friendly others are rude.

Staff Is very friendly and welcoming and the facility, while older, is very clean and inviting. Staff will also go out of their way to accommodate my mother and go the extra mile to take care of her. Apartments are not large but big enough for my mother's needs. The bathroom and bedroom is a nice size and the partial kitchen and living room are small. It is cute and motivates one to be organized due to the limited space. Windows overlooking the outdoors gives it the feeling of being bigger than it really is.

Our family has had a really good experience with Sanford Estates so far. There are so many different activities for the residents to do. There is something always going on Monday-Friday, but on the weekends it is a little lighter. They have a lot of stuff that is appropriate for the elderly residents there. They had a Mardi Gras parade which was really enjoyable. For Elvis Presley's birthday they played his music all throughout the afternoon. When our loved one first moved in, the staff did a really good job having people sit with him during meal time, and invite him to play games. We have eaten there a couple of times and from what we have had, the meals are excellent, and more importantly our loved one thinks they are excellent. Our only criticism is they are experiencing a lot of turnover with their kitchen staff. However the kitchen staff that is there are excellent and they really try to make the dining experience personalized for each resident.

I wouldn't say the most, but they have enough to keep people busy if they want to be. It's a nice quiet place that I would recommend.
