Our mother spent her final six months cradled within the community of Saint Francis where her individuality was honored and her sense of self was maintained. She received attentive, knowledgeable care focused on choice and comfort from staff who took the time to understand her as a person. That supportive environment, along with a vibrant and engaging activities schedule helped her make the best of her situation, be herself and make friends even in the brief time she was there. Her Saint Francis “family” came to feel like family to us as well, always welcoming, approachable and compassionate. Our only regret may be that she didn’t arrive there sooner! Having worked at St. Francis, I can truly attest to the ethical and moral standards under which the staff are trained and execute their duties. The facility maintains a family spirit in which staff and residents have the same goal of contributing to the physical and spiritual well being of its population. The administration encourages all staff to present any if their concerns in a relaxed atmosphere.
