It has taken me a while to write this review but felt it is time to do so. My Mum and Dad became residence of Rock Island Village Assisted Living back in 2021. My Mum passed away 6 months later. As time went on, my father was moved into memory care. I visited my Dad often, I could see the level of s...
It has taken me a while to write this review but felt it is time to do so. My Mum and Dad became residence of Rock Island Village Assisted Living back in 2021. My Mum passed away 6 months later. As time went on, my father was moved into memory care. I visited my Dad often, I could see the level of service deteriorating. I also noticed the extreme staff turn over at Rock Island. I had the opportunity to eat at Rock Island with my father and I couldn''t believe how bad the food was. Rock Island told us that only one of us was allowed to call to check on our father. The rest of the family was not allowed to call. Some of the staff at Rock Island were very rude! We eventually moved our father to another facility. Before we moved our Dad, we noticed his gold wedding ring was missing. I wouldn''t recommend Rock Island Village Assisted Living to anyone. Our father is getting much better care now.

Feeling weary of looking for a place for my Mother to thrive in her elder years, I felt great gratitude to find Rock Island Village. I immediately experienced relief just walking into the Calm and spacious atmosphere. Natural Light streams in from floor to ceiling. The Decor causes one to feel that they are standing in the lobby of a 5 Star Hotel. I got immediate support and guidance about the vision and services rendered there by way of a tour of the entire facility. I saw residents looking cheerful. I saw available apartments for new residents. All were clean, spacious, and designed for ultimate care and safety. The Director said that they allow for pets, and have a special staff member(s) that walk the dogs, take them for grooming and Vet. apts. The food there is Gourmet Quality,. The Staff is personable and nurturing in their care. My Mother is well loved and protected. Why would I go anywhere else.? It is a Quality HOME experience for my Mom. I love visiting her there.

I took a tour of Rock Island Village for my mom, and I actually loved it. I loved the property, it is in the middle of town, and it's converted from a factory into a living facility, but it's really nice inside. It's all contained, and the apartments are nice, and spacious. They have anywhere from a studio to a two-bedroom apartment. They also have a memory care there, so if you have a senior mom or dad, or someone that needs to go into memory care eventually, that's right there on the property. They allow pets, and my mom smokes, so they allow smoking outside as well. There's not any green space in the facility. I know they have a beauty shop, and they have activities.
