Had talked with the Administrator about care for my mom. At first she was very helpful to my family. We were planning to move her there when I got a call from the Administrator saying my mom needs too much care! Excuse me but isn’t this a long term care facility? I don’t understand and now we have no place for my mom who is being released from a rehab facility.

My Mom was admitted to Rennes on June 3rd, 2021 after having a stent put in her kidney for a large kidney stone after being taken to Howard Young Hospital. I personally drove her to Rennes on the 3rd. I was happy when I saw the facilities but everything went downhill from there. She was in a shared room with a woman who sounded she was hackung up a lung or two day and night. I''ll have a 2nd post because I can''t go further.

I Loved my stay there with stage 4 cancer. I''m sorry I can''t remember all names but Nurses, Wendy, Cheri, Ella, all nurses were kind ,compassionate and always willing to help! The cleaning crew ,2 sisters and young man James were always making you comfortable and kind, willing to help. Young man removed my dinner dishes and always asking if I need anything .always pleasant and smiling .Wonderful kitchen staff always going out of their way to try to accommodate me, a picky vegetarian. I''m sure I forgot names ,but a BIG THANK YOU TO WHOLE STAFF WHO IN MY last months lifted my heart with their kindness and compassion. I''ll never forget you guys. THANK YOU AGAIN! Sincerely with love, Ginette Friedman. I highly recommend this facility!

My father was a resident of Rennes for just shy of one year. The absolute worst part of him being there was Covid-19 and not being able to see him. That is the case for anyone in long-term care right now. As far as the care that he received - I have not one complaint. I was always confident that he was receiving quality care, that the staff was kind, that any questions I had were addressed...I loved that he was there. It is a beautiful place and they took wonderful care of him.

My mother in law is currently staying there and I can say her health care needs are not being met. The usual protocol after hip replacement surgery is for the patient to wear compression socks as soon as the patient is awake to prevent blood clots .... Which they are not putting on her until after lunch and because of this her leg is severely swollen. Also with joint replacement the patient is advised to walk every 2 hours, the staff are literally leaving her either in bed or her wheelchair all day until she has to beg them to assist her in moving. As of today''s date because of the lack of care she has been given since she was admitted her healing process has not improved much.
