This is the worst nursing facility I''ve ever been in. It''s very dirty and the staff is rude and they don''t care about the patients at all. My brother had a stroke and went there for rehab. He sat in his own urine overnight because no one came and checked on him the entire night. We made the decision after him being there for 3 days to take him out of this horrible place. IF YOU HAVE ANY LOVE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES PLEASE DON''T TAKE THEM HERE.

This place is a house of horrors. The first contact at the "gate", large woman with glasses, is rude and obnoxious. Majority of staff operates just one click off her attitude and demeanor. We were unable to identify staff from patient, no badges and everyone dressed in their street clothes. My cousin was a hospital transfer recovering from an open wound on her tailbone. Middle of one night her bedridden roommate''s vital machine started beeping...no one came. They both kept hitting the nurse call button...no one came. My cousin called my mother who called the facility multiple times before someone finally answered the phone. In the meantime, my cousin deciding no one was coming, found a way to drag the machine to her to hit the reset button and temporarily stop the high decibel beeping. Ultimately she beat the machine up and left it in pieces on the floor. When staff did finally come alive (approx 2 hours after incident began), they shared their displeasure with my cousin and her handling of the vitals machine. My cousin was there for 5 days before we figured a way to rescue her. By this time her wound was reinfected due to sitting in her body fluids for long periods between changes. She was unable to keep food down, and dehydrated. We showed up at noon with an ambulance to take her back to the hospital....she told my mother over the phone early that morning a young man showed up to dress her wound, gagged and left without finishing the job. She sat on her open wound in body fluids until we arrived and spoke with her self identified care provider that day. He said she''d just started throwing up that morning, to which we responded, she''s been throwing up since Saturday...this was Wednesday..she arrived the previous Friday afternoon. How did he not know what had been going on with her heath????? We also told him her wound had not been repacked that morning. He had no clue and took off to check and prep her for release. They repacked her wound, cleaned her up a bit, and brought her and her things to us. This was the first day we spoke to anyone with a pleasant demeanor...but there was also a man sitting at the administrators desk that day, though he never came out to speak with us. Guessing his presence is why our experience was improved that day. She hadn''t been bathed during her stay. Her long beautiful hair was greasy and filthy. Additionally, you have to make an appointment to see your loved one...I asked "what are you hiding back there?". They don''t allow you beyond the front vestibule. They can''t use Covid, because the staff either had no mask on or were wearing mask below their nose. Not one single employee was covid compliant. Only allow your loved one here as a last or only choice. Patients and staff appear to come from the lowest income spectrum...clearly reflected in our overall experience. I beg you to find a different facility!

The service that Blue River Rehab gave me was excellent. The nurses who took care of my mom exceeded my expectations. They were providing their service for a period of 2 years. At all times they treated her with professionalism, respect and great human warmth. That gradually made my mother overcome her resistance to accept them. For which I feel very grateful and allow myself to recommend them as the best option for the care of a loved one.
