My sister and I went to visit a cousin who has been in your facility for a couple of years. I have been consistantly pleased with the incredible care and concern shown by your staff. The facility itself is always clean. They have excellent activities scheduled for the residents. Our cousin praises the care and concern that she has received since going there. I worked in hospital settings for over 30 years and your facility could serve as a model for others. Thank you for all you do for your residents!

Clean, modern facility with helpful, caring, and friendly staff. I always feel welcome when visiting my uncle, who has made great progress in his recovery and seems to be happy there.

Horrible and my belief is please don''t trust them with your care of your loved ones because they are not respectful of the ELDERS and YESI they are certified to claim that the people left in their care are left behind for a reason because our families don''t want any of us and we are tha ones who are certified AND WE NEED TO REMEMBER THAT WE ARE CERTIFIED TO LIVE THERE WITH THE 2 SHOWERS WEEK POLICY AND THE FACT THAT EACH UNIT ONLY IS SUPPLIED WITH A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TOWELS PER DAY AND PER SHIFT THAT DOESN''T REFLECT THE AMOUNT OF SHOWER''S ON THE GIVEN DAY AND TOUR NEEDS AND THE PRESSING ISSUE OF THE CALL BELL FOR ASSISTANCE IS RIDICULOUS BECAUSE THEY TAKE FOREVER TO RESPOND SOMETIMES I HAVE COUNTED THE BELL RINGS UPWARDS OF 99 TIMES PRIOR TO ANYONE RESPONDING THEN THEY ASK FOR ME TO TURN OFF THE BELL WHEN MOST OF THE TIME THEE HAVE NOT ASSISTED IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN RESPONDING TO MY REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE BUT NOT AT LEAST ASKING ME ABOUT WHAT I NEED IOR WHAT''S WRONG WITH ME AND AM I OK NEXT THEY ARE A KOSHER FACILITY SO YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EATING THEIR DIET BUT YESI YOU CAN ORDER OUTSIDE FOOD ESPECIALLY ON THE DAYS WHEN YOU PREFER TO EAT A HOT MEAT MEAL OR NOT CARB OR STARCH HEAVY MEAL, AND YOU PAY ALL OF YOUR DISABILITY OR SSI INTO YOUR STAY TO COVER YOUR ROOM AND BOARD PLUS LAUNDRY SERVICES BUT YOU CAN''T GET THE MEAL YOU ASK FOR WHEN YOU WANT IT OR THE DRINK AND IF YOU SMOKE YOU NEED PERMISSION NOT FROM THE DOCTOR BUT THE DAMN SOCIAL WORKER DEPARTMENT TO SMOKE ONLY DURING DESIGNATED TIMES AND ONLY WITH AN APRON OVER YOUR BODY AND CLOTHES OUTSIDE IN ENCLOSED AREA CONNECTED TO THE CHAMPS LOUNGE a room redone by the administrator of the building to show the DEDICATION to the residents of queens Nassau physical rehabilitation nursing facility as being able to COMPETE with the other facilities in NYC and say that they are also able to provide the cutting edge of technology that others provide for their residents and patients or staff plus recognizing that they are not in the same class as some of the big name hospitals as evidence by the shoddy service from the elevators that are constantly out of service and under maintenance which brings me to my segway into the next topic of the building being renovated with people still living in the building simultaneously and the fact that the building was brought down to its BARE nessecoties not to improve but to put what ESSENTIALLY been a bandaid on the whole damn thing because under all the coats of paint and modern wall paper, linoleum floors and walls is still the same old crap that is creating and allowing the mice to harvest their little ones, and now I''m left with my discord with the rehabilitation team because I find that itis a racket for the entire facility because it is a way for queen''s Nassau to keep your loved ones locked up in the facility since everything is based on the notes with the Medicare and Medicaid benefits of each person in the building on a month program every months each person has an opportunity to do session and work with the therapist in rehabilitation called an assessment day and depending on how well you can show them that you can get activities done on your own or with little assistance it''s during this period that we have to show our own capabilities to get back to society or have to endure another 2 weeks of rehabilitation with the rehab team and months of waiting for the next assessment process to start the cycle over again
