Pruitt Brookhaven needs to be closed down!!. The medical staff did not do any of the things they said they would do. They didn’t detect a UTI that caused my mother the wind up in ICU!!!. Just a horrible place!!!!
Our daughter has been cared for here for almost two years. This Pruitt Health facility has wonderful caring staff. They listen when we have concerns and address them appropriately. The food is great! Review The Pruitt Brookhaven based Kaiser doctors (Jaza Marina and Roxanne Williams) and caseworker Yolanda Sanchez downplayed our family’s concerns about the swelling in my father’s feet and left arm and concurrent shortness of breath and high blood pressure, and declined to provide either a referral to cardiology or to schedule an urgent/critical care echocardiogram, despite multiple family requests. Within days, my father developed hypoxemia and was rushed to St Joseph''s ER where he was diagnosed with acute pulmonary edema and acute hypoxic respiratory failure. The next day he also tested positive for COVID, which he caught at Pruitt. Importantly, COVID was not the cause of his congestive heart failure, but rather an additional complication. The case managers Yolanda (Kaiser) and Darius (Pruitt) failed to communicate well with the family or follow up in a timely manner on questions, concerns, or requests for paperwork. The caseworkers and doctors seemed much more concerned with discharging my father quickly, rather than in providing thorough care that would allow him to return home safely.

I cannot state more plainly, do Not let your loved one go to Pruitt Brookhaven. The lack of care, compassion and overall communication is abhorrent. Our family was told not to call to check on family member when we were unable to reach him by phone. Many, many calls not returned by staff, case manager and social worker. My family member contracted covid while there and then the "care" just got worse. My family member got progressively worse while there. Please, do Not send your loved one go here.
