The staff have been caring and friendly during my mother’s stay. Facility is clean. One downside is the food - especially breakfast. I have noticed a team approach in getting the job done. Administration helping as needed.

DOESN''T CARE ABOUT SENIORS! YOU WILL DIE BEFORE SOMEONE CALLS YOU BACK OR HELPS YOU. I KNOW, MY DAD DIED WAITING! Pruitt''s Health in Blue Ridge is the epitome of nursing homes. Over the last few months I''ve been working with Pruitt''s Health in Jasper regarding the admission process of my dad. They were given all the necessary information they needed and his Medicaid was verified for a nursing home. I was told the Jasper location was currently full, but the Blue Ridge location had plenty of beds available since they were a larger facility. They sent all of my dad''s information over to Blue Ridge and we waited. My dad was sent to the hospital because of his dementia and I attempted to notify the Blue Ridge location so we could have him transferred to their facility after discharge. When I called the line was always busy. I called the Jasper location and talked to Maureen, who had initially helped me getting everything setup, and she contacted Alan, the director at Blue Ridge, and told him to call me. After a couple days I still hadn''t received a call from Alan so I tried calling again. When Alan wasn''t available I left a message with the admissions staff. Another day went by and I still hadn''t received any calls back. I contacted Maureen in Jasper again and she said she would try Alan again. After a few days went by, with still no calls from Blue Ridge, the hospital called them. They were told since Dad was not "vaccinated" he would need to go into an isolation room for 5 days before being moved to a regular room. However they didn''t have any "isolation" rooms available. The hospital checked with several other Pruitt''s Health locations and none of them had any "isolation" beds available. An additional 6 more days had passed while my dad laid in a hospital waiting on Blue Ridge to call. Initially the excuse was bad weather then they didn''t have any isolation rooms available. Now, since more than 5 days had passed and an "isolation" bed should be available, they said still no beds available and didn''t offer any idea when one would become available. After a couple more days had passed, and still nothing from Pruitt''s, my dad had become very depressed and stopped eating. This continued for several more days until my dad took a turn for the worse and his kidneys started shutting down. We then had to make the unfortunate decision to have my dad moved to a local hospice center where, after a couple weeks there, he passed away. This didn''t have to happen this way. After trying for over a year to get help for my dad, from calling various nursing homes, Medicaid staff, local senior service centers, and others, trying to get help for seniors in need is impossible. Alan, the director of Pruitt''s Health in Blue Ridge, is a disgrace and shouldn''t be in charge of any position that involves seniors. You can never get in touch with anyone at this facility and that is apparent in other complaints listed below. And based on other complaints, and the tragic circumstances I had to endure because of this facility and the director himself, everyone needs to be aware of how this facility operates.
Read moreMajority of people there have been fantastic even tho is these times most healthcare workers are overrun due to shortages. Administrator is very good and cares about all the people in his facility.
My family member was verbally abused and neglected by one of the overnight nurses. This facility also almost never answers their phone, and when they do, they just continually transfer you to a different person who eventually goes to voicemail and they never call you back.
Everyone involved were very service oriented, showed sincere concern, and personal in communication. Couldn''t ask for more!
