My father came here for rehab after breaking his hip. They did nothing for him other then having him ride a recumbent bike 20 minutes a day. He was completely incontinent and never told our family when he was released to go home. He was better off getting the PT at the hospital. Very poor communication with the families of the loved ones there. My father was in worse shape when he left this place. Food was bad too!

The trauma of having a loved one enter a SNF can be overwhelming, especially when you realize that you have zero influence or control over the ‘system’ of health providers and health insurers. The patient and family are simply caught as chess pawns in the middle. The team at Mother Joseph demonstrated utmost patience, care and support as we navigated new waters unexpected when our ‘young Mom’ had a stroke at 73. Kyra, Ali, Amanda, the incredible CNA’s, Dennis, Keith, Hannah and Chrissy from Therapy all rallied to help Mom regain as much as she could in skills. And they handled us... daughters that just wanted the best care from the best place we could find for Mom. My only complaint is with one person in the Social Work team who could stir the pot rather than settle it down. If you work with that team...just request Rita be your Social Services assignee.

I would say there is alot people that dont know what really happens at this facility. It does long term care and recovery care. In recovery care alot of patients are elderly that have under gone recent medical procedures and recovery for them is most difficult if not impossible. The biggest problem this faculty has right now is low numbers of nurses and a high number of patients. This is a problem all over Washington. Otherwise they do a great job.
