We are Hispanics the African American woman at the front desk at the cubb area treated me, my daughter and my husband like if we were criminals. My daughter and husband were sitting on the bench waiting for me to come back from the gift shop (because apparently my daughter wasn''t allowed there even with me) called security to escort my husband and my daughter from that area. They were only waiting for me to return. This hospital is trash by the way as if you are under the age of 18 you cannot be a visitor to a patient even if you are with your parents. Trash!!!! Worst hospital ever!! In your response that website leads me directly to the medical center website, not a complaint website I would like to file a complaint

For the sake of your health and safety, DO NOT go here, especially if you are trans. I was taken there three times in three days, each day my condition worsening, only to be misgendered and literally mocked at every turn, without being helped for my actual issue, of course. My condition actually worsened further and I ended up needing extensive surgery due to their negligence. I am afraid of ever being taken there again.

I was at Penn Presbyterian for proactive major surgery only the best hospitals perform. The communication throughout all levels of care and departments could not have been better. My experience with the doctors, NPs, nurses, techs and aides was consistently top notch. The U. Penn visiting nurses home care follow up has been excellent as well, and addressed every question or concern I had. I have a clearly understood and outlined "roadmap" for through follow up. I am reluctant to mention any one individual as a standout because literally dozens were involved in my care and were all excellent. However, because of three decades of exceptional routine care I have with Penn Medicine, I discovered the talents of Dr Michael Ibrahim and his equally talented team. Beyond his obvious talents, I most appreciate his clearly delivered and straightforward communication. I am fortunate I chose this hospital for this life changing event and l am now hopeful for many good quality years to follow because of the care and expertise this organization provide.

I came in with my grandmother to visit my mom because I haven’t seen her in a while, while also being very worried about her health. When me and my grandmother came in near 12:55, a short, chubby black woman with really short hair at the desk, asked how old I was. My grandmother said I was 16 and she said she didn’t allow people under 18 at the desk. It seemed like the rules have changed since last time I was able to come in. It was maybe because of Covid reasons, but I was understanding but very emotional about it and was about to cry while the woman stayed nasty by saying in a mean voice “she’s not even supposed to be on the premises” she didn’t show any empathy whatsoever and was very disrespectful about it. I stood in the waiting room crying because of it. When I went to grab a tissue because I was upset and crying and my nose was running in tears running down my eyes very quickly and dreadfully I went to go get a tissue, but the lady raised her voice in a very disrespectful way “can I help you!?” I looked at her with sadness in my eyes and a anxious look and quietly shook my head no in sadness. I then go to my seat, but hear her talking about me to my coworkers, instead of giving me the comfort that I needed while I was at a horrible mind space. When my grandmother came downstairs She wanted to see if she can go and so I can see my mom, so I can stop being anxious and worrying if she’s okay or not. We then see the lady watching us the whole time and spying on us and quickly yelled “she’s not supposed to be here!” in a loud intimidating scary voice not a voice that Worker should ever have wow working with people who Need more empathy while in the hospital to see the patients who are unwell and she was following us as we were walking out of the building and then she talk to her staff about us the reason why it was upsetting because instead of her showing empathy because I already felt bad that I couldn’t see my mom she made it 10 times worse by her attitude I feel as though people who show empathy should be in a place where people have empathy of others and I feel as though she’s not suitable enough to be at the front desk
