I see a lot of good reviews 2 to 5 years ago. More current reviews are not very shiny at all. I wonder if they have changed beds since then. I''ve been here in the afternoon and one night and they''re making me sleep on a twin bed sized air mattress!! I mean really? The chef was very engaging explaining their process and the 1st meals were not too shabby I hope the rest will be acceptable and I have not met with my 1st therapy session which is what it''s all about here but coming back in with tired muscles and bones and sleeping on an air mattress is unacceptable. I don''t know if that''s going to work.

Our family member''s first visit here was a mediocre and somewhat questionable experience. Three months later we were faced with very few options due to a lack of available beds. We gave Pine View another try and it was a huge mistake. Our family member was not properly cared for and the Pine View staffs poor communication and care was borderline negligent.

Do NOT send a loved one to this place!!! I would give it zero stars if I could. After a knee replacement, my aunt would have to wait 45-60 minutes for pain medications!! One of the excuses was that the nurse was charting. I didn’t realize charting was more important than patient care. The first night she was there, they didn’t give her any pain medications because they said they didn’t have any orders!!! She was in excruciating pain! She would only be walked once a day by the physical therapists. The aids were “too busy” to take her. She had to shuffle herself in a wheelchair to the bathroom because no one answered her call light. They switched her to a lesser pain medication instead of following the doctor’s orders. They didn’t seem to care that her pain was not controlled. One day she asked four times for her ice machine to be filled up to ice her knee and they never did it. The first couple of times she had to shower herself. (They’re only given showers Mon, Wed & Fri) The staff during the weekdays tried hard but are very understaffed! I have nothing positive to say about the weekend staff!!! No physical therapy was done on the weekend besides one little walk by the therapist on Saturday. The occupation therapist was great! They never cleaned or wiped down the bed in between patients during physical therapy! They wouldn’t even change the pillow case. The physical therapist waited until the day before she went home to work on stairs. The one main positive thing was housekeeping. They were very meticulous and clean!! While my aunt was there, a patient contracted covid. We found out because I went to visit her. They didn’t tell my aunt or the family member contact!

Do not send your loved ones here! My sister was there, very ill, for over three weeks without knowing any of her nursing staffs names. She said they came in, changed her bandages, or brought her her food, without talking to her. We live in the Boise area and were only able to visit her on weekends. She was very alone and these people did not show her common compassion and care! The Doctors would not allow her Ambien which she had been taking for quite some time, so she couldn''t sleep. She ended up falling into a deep depression. This is not a place of healing. When they released her, they sent her home with a different brand of stoma bag than what they used in the facility. This different brand caused her an allergic reaction that sent her back into the ER less than 24 hours later. Oh, and additionally, there was never a time when the staff asked to see my ID, checked to see if I or my daughter were on the visiting list, or asked who I was when I asked direct questions about her care. HIPAA should really investigate this! These people do not care. Do not let your loved ones receive care here. If you do, make sure that you are there everyday! My sister passed away a week after being released from this facility. I can not place her death at their feet, but the lack of care she received here did not contribute to her physical or emotional healing. Isn''t that why we trust our loved ones to these people?
