We thought Penn Assisted Care was a very nice place. We thought it was a good place. The staff there was very good and very helpful. We met the guy that was in charge of the place and we were impressed. It seemed very good. The rooms were nice. They had roommates. It's not a single, it's a double, but they were very nice. They had a nice deck, too. They had a library, but there was no pool or gym or anything like that. They had activities. They go out and stuff like that. The overall atmosphere was good. I think the guy who runs the place is very, very committed to it. I don't think my friend is quite ready to go in there yet, but in the future, if this becomes necessary, I think it would be a good place to go.

Penn Assisted Care seemed very organized and well-staffed. The residents were very, very happy there, and everybody was very friendly. The staff who gave me the tour was really good. He was very patient and caring. He knew the residents and they knew him. He wasn't just the salesperson, he was involved with the residents there. The rooms were a nice size, and they were pretty much allowed to make it homey. I saw what they were eating and it looked like the normal home-cooked kind of food.

Penn Assisted Care is number one on our list right now. It was very homey, the director was quite friendly and answered all our questions. It was a little on the small side, but that was part of the charm because it wasn't real crowded. The residents there seemed happy and content, there was a nice patio for them to go out and sit on. It was in a very quaint, small community. The bathrooms were a little on the small side, and they share the bathrooms in the hallway.
