In September of 2022, my wife was admitted to Parker, to rehab from back surgery. The facility appeared to be amazing, esthetically pleasing. However, the staff failed to dress my wife, before her therapy sessions and she after a few days, she had to go back to the hospital. I complained to the administrator and she was kind enough to reach out to me. We had an amazing conversation. She expressed to me how her father was treated, at another facility, so I know that she related to my concerns. Since then, my wife has had to be in a nursing home/rehab facility on 5 separate occasions. After being in the hospital again, a few weeks ago, she had to return to a rehab facility, again. Because of the private rooms and newness of the facility, we decided to go back to Parker. When she was discharged, I wrote to the same administrator (I don’t know why I kept her email)(I guess that now I do know why), she responded to my email and we have had no issues during her 2 week stay. Thank you Parker, for giving my wife the dignity and respect that she deserves.

We cannot thank the Parker staff enough for all they are doing for our mother. Our family has peace of mind knowing the level of care she receives every day. Not only do they focus on her medical wellness, but they also focus on her mental wellbeing. Our mother has dementia and is not always able to verbalize her feelings, but she is able to sing many of the songs she loves. After we mentioned our mother’s love of music, they incorporated music into her general activities. I cannot tell you how much joy this brings her. Throughout the year they have special events, like talent competitions featuring the residents. You can see all the happiness this brings to the residents and builds the sense of family in the Parker Community. Parker has been a gift to our mother and a gift to me and my sisters.

A few days ago I wrote about my Brother who was in pain and wasn''t given pain medication, on Saturday my brother died. He died confused as to why certain staff members didn''t believe him and some didn''t care. I know my brother is in a much happier place surrounded by love. He couldn''t wait any longer for the help and palliative care that he really needed and just gave up. We inquired about palliative care but we were told that Parker does not offer that. This is why you should really take care and inquire about important things like support, palliative care, hospice because we were told that Parker does not offer any of these things. Palliative care would have assisted with his care without question. Your loved ones deserve better than this. Instead he got doubt and didn''t know how long he would have to stay in pain. Pain management is subpar at Parker they just don''t get it.
