I toured Palm Shade Villa II. I was able to meet the owner and I was able to sit down and speak with her. She was a very pleasant lady and she seemed like a very caring person for the elderly. They had an individual room and everything was there. The facility was very clean, and the grounds were well-kept. There were quite a few vacant rooms, which tells me that there were not a lot of clients. There were only two residents that I was able to see. There was a library with books and stuff. If there was an emergency, they would call 911 and that's about it. In terms of doctor's appointments, we have to do that ourselves.
