This facility has been a godsend to our family. Not only is my mother there so is my aunt (her sister). You are always greeted when you stop by to visit with your family. The apartments are generous and kept clean. The food is good and they accommodate dietary needs. The maintenance staff is very helpful. The one feature I appreciate is the van being able to take them to the clinic for their appointments. I don't have to try to get them in my car. I can meet them at the clinic! This facility is a very nice place to go when you need them.

My father moved into Oak Park Place at Albert Lea. We chose it because it is all-inclusive, so we don't have any surprise bills at the end of the month. The staff is very pleasant, very helpful, and very inquisitive. They explain what they do and what they're going to do for him. They help him with the showers. They do minor housecleaning of his room. They have activities available. He has a nice room, and it looks like a regular apartment. It has a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and cupboards. It is spacious with closets and a nice and spacious bathroom with a low step entry into the shower. The shower is a decent size, so you could have a shower chair in there. The place is very clean. Everything looks up to date and fixed. Nothing seemed to be just broken and sitting there. I also think it is very reasonably priced.

I would tell others come walk through and visit. It's the greatest! Talk to the ladies who live there and sit out front in the nice weather - they'll tell you. They're friendly and greet you as you come. I was impressed walking in the door how clean and organized it was. And it smells good, which is unusual and a big deal. The facility is spotless. My mom loves her girls who come in and take are of her. She loves them, and they love her as well. The care services have been great, and they've even prevented a few negative health outcomes. I honestly don't feel she would still be with us if those had occurred with her still at home. We really don't have anything negative to say. If she doesn't like a meal, they'll make her something else. But she says the food is usually excellent. Activities have been a little limited due to Covid, but she loves playing Bingo and tells everyone about it. They do take an elderly waiver, which is great. But even without it, I think it's a good value. It's everything we need it to be for her. And that's what matters the most - that she's getting what she needs.
