The Staff at Nyack Ridge are friendly and caring and trying their best during this crazy pandemic. My mother is always well taken care of and always appears to be happy. Michael, the director, is doing a fantastic job keeping visiting open.
Pleasant and attentive staff, mom well taken care of.

I put my mother in Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation back in May 0f 2022. I knew of this rehab because it was local and had a small town feel to it. I had a family friend who had stayed there and told me overall they were pleased with things except the food. They also told me about this awesome gentleman named Mike who was an owner/operator of the facility. I was told if I had any issue to call this gentleman who gave me his personal cell phone number and he would take care of things. THIS WAS 100% the case! He always answered a text, or a call. When you called Mike when you hung up he would be working on the issue. Yes we had a few issues, but I feel my mother had good care at this facility. No place is perfect. I think Mike overseeing my mom''s care for sure made the difference between good and bad care. I also wanted to mention the aides on my mother''s floor did a good job overall looking after my mom. 3 of them did an amazing job and really standout in my mind. They were always nice to her and kept her clean, so thank you for that. The ladies who ran Bingo and the activities really were great. They painted mom''s nails and got her to play Bingo. These ladies did great as well. The Ot''s and PT''s did what they could and did a good job. My mom has a lot going on. I found the social workers also got mom the help she needed. They got me equipment that I needed at the house and that really helped. I think the food, communication (meetings, info between staff) could be improved. I had shared this with Mike and he was very interested in always improving Nyack Ridge for the better. I feel Mike really cares and it''s nice to have someone like him involved in patient care! Thanks Mike

If I can give this please in negative star review I would. My father arrived there on June 24, 2022. My mother went to greet him once he got there, she was met with my father who has Alzheimer’s and dementia in a room with three other people , And no masks on. One of the folks in the room had several bags with him smelled like urine, we later found out that he may be homeless. There was also a female in the room. There was a shared bathroom that was completely unsanitary with fecal matter everywhere. Until my mother signed my father out of the facility she was told that there was no other rooms that he could be in. After several attempts to speak to somebody or a nursing Director we were hung up on and spoken to rudely by several of the staff. The department of health as well as the ombudsman will be notified about the deplorable conditions of this facility.
