After 5 days in the hospital and too weak to rise for the first time in her life, mom was sent to NHTC, where she spent 21 days for physical therapy. We could not be more pleased with the staff and administration. CLEAN, smells fine, and a teriffic and fully-staffed PT room with numerous therapists. Before admission, during, and throughout on to discharge, the admissions director, case manager, nurses and PCAs (personal care assistants) were great with communication and care. We were initially hesitant due to the presence of a few poor reviews, but remember people who are unhappy are more likely to complain and -- unless you are willing to spend big money -- there will always a few poor caregivers no matter where you go. NHTC works hard to get rid of those bad apples and we did not encounter even one of them. Mom left strong enough to walk and toilet on her own and is probably 80% of her pre-ER admission self.

My husband had a two-week stay at this facility for rehab after surgery. This was good in the important ways - PT and OT was very good, medical attention was very good, the doctor was responsive and the staff we dealt with were extremely kind and helpful - wonderful CNAs and LVNs. On that basis, I would recommend this facility before any others on the same scale. On the negative side, they are very short-staffed and you could wait a bit too long for someone to respond to the button (but again, we found them to be wonderful). The food was only edible, not good, but was also rarely filled to request. They ask you to fill out your choices but then seem to bring you whatever is on hand. He was one of the last served and it was ALWAYS cold. When addressing the lack of attention to his requests, the dietician got a little testy. It is acceptably clean - could be cleaner - but did not have an offensive odor as often occurs in a nursing environment. Check your reviews when you make a choice!
Read moreFirst off, the staff are phenomenal! They truly care about each resident which goes into the level of care they put into each person. The building was well kept, and very clean. They have a great variety of activities and food! Highly recommend!
Great facility! Very clean and awesome staff, they kept us entertained and informed during our stay. Can’t recommend the A+ care we received enough!

I would not recommend this facility to anyone or their love ones. My mom has been there twice for rehabilitation and has not come home better. The first time she came home about the same but this last time she went in able to get up and walk to not being able to get up and walk at all. The care givers are very lazy and some are even rude. Everytime I went to visit my mom was laying in bed in a diaper and T-shirt. They say she did PT and OT but my mom can''t even do for herself any longer. We picked her up at discharge and she was not ready we had to dress her and after getting her home she had a diaper on that looked like she had it on for two days. It''s really sad. Called to speak with the director of nursing and the mailbox was full. Please do not take anyone you love to this place.
