My father has lived at Nikkei for over a year, and I have high praise. The staff are friendly, attentive, and very patient. My father enjoys being active, and I appreciate how the staff comes to get him and engage him in activities. He especially enjoys the special entertainment or activities they do monthly for various themes. The staff notifies me quickly with concerns that arise regarding my dad''s health and well-being. They keep me informed through a care app of what activities, if any, my father has done for the day. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, and the facility is very nice and clean. My father enjoys the warmth of the staff, having his own private apt, and the choice of meals.

My issei mother has lived at Nikkei Senior Garden (NSG) for the last 7 years. I didn’t fully appreciate NSG until my mother had a fall, fracturing her pelvis. My issei mother has lived at Nikkei Senior Garden (NSG) for the last 7 years. I didn’t fully appreciate NSG until my mother had a fall, fracturing her pelvis. She was in a skilled nursing facility for two weeks and I was not happy with the care she was receiving there. So, I moved her back home to NSG. The Executive Director worked closely with me and helped me with this decision and my mother’s move back to NSG. When she returned home, she was welcomed by everyone - staff and other residents. This greatly lifted her spirits. Before her accident, she participated in the many activities such as exercises and bingo in the morning followed by art projects or games in the afternoon. This had become part of her routine and she was eager to return to it. She was able to make a very good recovery with the help of NSG staff and private caregivers. The NSG staff are wonderful. They are cheerful and want to help. NSG is very well run. It is very clean and the meals are varied and delicious. When my mom’s microwave oven broke down recently, it was replaced right away. All the major holidays are celebrated. I am very grateful for NSG and the healthy and fun environment it provides for my mom!

My mother is 90, likes bingo, exercise, and creative activities, all of which are available at Nikkei S.G.- the Gardens appear to need more frequent care and watering- Unfortunately we are experiencing a severe drought, with limitations.. The tour today was informative, greeted by friendly staff.

The lovely garden located at the backyard is fabulous.They spend their time doing gardening or just enjoying the scenery and listening to all the birds chirping or singing in the garden. They also have different kinds of trees that you will enjoy the fruits once it''s in season. The community also has a lot of fun activities inside or outside.They have a service van to drive the residents to their doctor appointments too The employees are also friendly ,nice ,and respectful. All in all it''s a gorgeous community that the residents enjoyed.
